RMS Rentals hosts Open House

  Rain isn’t usually something people in the construction industry like to see, but when it coincides with an event like the RMS Rentals Open House, there is a silver lining. That’s exactly what happened this year. On April 20, more than 200 customers, vendors, and employees took advantage of the wash out and attended the Open House at our Savage location. Attendees received a welcome bag with swag items and were able to visit with participating vendors to check out the equipment and meet with representatives. “This was a great event, and I am very thankful for everyone that helped to make it a success. It isn’t too often I say this, but fortunately it rained. Russell Sheaffer named AED Board Director at Large

  Road Machinery & Supplies Co. President, Russell Sheaffer was named Director at Large of the Associated Equipment Directors (AED) Board. His nomination was approved by the AED Board in December 2022, and he will serve a three-year term.   As Director at Large, Sheaffer will be assist in developing strategies to support AED’s membership and establish legislative priorities that serve to benefit the industry. It is the second time that a representative from RMS has led the AED Board as Mike Sill Sr., was President of AED in 1985. “Road Machinery & Supplies Co. has been a longtime member and strong supporter of AED. I am honored to accept this role, and I look forward to serving on the board of an association that plays such a vital role in the success of our industry. It’s our ability to speak with one unified voice as an industry that makes AED such a valuable resource to its members. This is a great opportunity for Road Machinery & Supplies Co.

TJ Burns hired as new General Manager of RMS Rentals

  Road Machinery & Supplies Co. has hired TJ Burns as General Manager of RMS Rentals . Burns comes to RMS Rentals after more than six years at United Rentals. Burns was most recently the Branch Manager at United Rentals, overseeing a four-state market from his Des Moines, Iowa, location.   “I am very excited to be at RMS Rentals. My career has been in equipment rentals. The opportunity to be here and combine that experience with a company that believes and invests in rentals was very appealing,” said Burns.   “RMS Rentals is a vital part of our organization, and it serves a very important and unique customer base. RMS Rentals hosts first open house since 2019

  RMS Rentals in Savage, Minn., welcomed nearly 200 customers, vendors, and employees to its Customer Appreciation Open House in March. It was the first such event for RMS Rentals since 2019 as Covid-19 canceled any plans for a similar event during the past three years. “We started planning this in October of 2021,” said Inside Sales Manager Larissa Indrebo. “We had a feeling the worst of the pandemic was finally behind us, and we were going to have an opportunity to welcome people back into our facility. We really wanted it to be a big deal. Customers were really excited about it, and we had a great turnout.” The event featured booths for several of RMS Rentals’ manufacturers, treats, lunch catered by the food trucks Northwoods Smokehouse and Peppers & Fries a Go-Go, a welcome bag, and 30 door prizes that were given away. “It was fun to try something new as far as the food trucks and giveaways,” said Rental Manager Sarah Ostroviak. “The goal was that every customer would wal

BKB maximizes efficiency with Potain T80 crane from RMS Rentals

  Brittney Yares is a fast learner and an extremely ambitious person. Those two traits are why her company Brittney Kate Builds (BKB) has grown from a weekend project with a friend to a booming and respected company . BKB completes large housing complexes throughout the Minneapolis suburbs. “Six years ago I framed a basement with a friend and thought it was a great accomplishment and super fun,” recalled Yares. “So I kept doing it.
